For boys 12–19 · Australia-wide
Thriving Sons guides boys from anger and self-doubt into confidence, discipline and purpose — through brotherhood, challenge and real male role models.
It starts quietly. More time in his room. More attitude. Less motivation. Anger that arrives without warning.
But underneath every difficult behaviour is a boy carrying something heavy: confusion, loneliness, shame — and a deep hunger to be seen, challenged and guided by someone who won't flinch.
"The behaviour is never the problem.
It's the signal."
— LJ Silulu, Founder
Rage without cause. Walls going up. He has the emotions — he just has no tools for them yet.
He retreats from challenge, compares himself and loses. He doesn't know his own value — because no one has shown him how to find it.
Screens offer what real life doesn't: wins, belonging, identity. The more disconnected he gets, the harder it is to return.
Drifting. Unmotivated. Apathetic. Boys without a path don't grow into men — they stall.
Thriving Sons isn't a drop-in program with unlimited capacity. We work with a small number of boys — because real mentoring requires presence, attention and commitment.
LJ reviews every application personally. If we believe it's the right fit, we'll reach out. If it's not the right time, we'll tell you honestly.

Boys don't transform through videos and worksheets. They transform through real challenge, real men and real brotherhood.
LJ is a father, mentor, coach and founder of Thriving Sons. He didn't learn this work in a classroom — he lived it.
After walking his own path from anger, disconnection and self-doubt into purpose, fatherhood and grounded leadership, LJ now dedicates himself to helping boys find what he had to find the hard way.
His work is rooted in lived experience, breathwork, physical challenge and an unshakeable belief: every boy deserves a strong man in his corner.
"After the meeting with LJ, my son turned to me and said, 'He's the BEST mum, I want him as my mentor.' After a month of sessions my older boy started to see a change in his brother's demeanour. Today both of my boys are part of Thriving Sons and they are absolutely thriving."
